Ultrasound of the pelvic organs: diagnosis of gynecological diseases

Ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs is the main method of diagnosis in gynecology.

Ultrasound allows you to evaluate:
– condition of the uterus and ovaries
– Endometrium during the menstrual cycle
– the presence of cysts, fibroids, polyps
– early pregnancy

The study is performed transabdominally (through the abdomen) or transvaginally. Transvaginal ultrasound is more informative for the diagnosis of early pathologies.
