Prostate Ultrasound: Prevention of Prostate Diseases

Ultrasound examination of the prostate is an important method of diagnosing urological diseases in men over 40 years.

Ultrasound can detect:
– prostate adenoma
– prostatitis
– suspected prostate cancer
– cysts and calcifications

The study is performed transabdominally or transrectally. Transrectal ultrasound is more informative, but requires special training of the intestine.
